Before you begin
Custom domains require an eligible paid plan and access to the DNS settings at
your domain registrar or DNS provider. Enter a hostname you control, without a
protocol or path. For example, enter links.example.com, not
https://links.example.com/artist.
Connect the domain
- Open Settings and choose Domains.
- Under Your Domain Name, enter the hostname you want to use.
- Choose the connect action and wait for SoLoLink to display the required DNS record.
- At your DNS provider, create the record exactly as displayed. Copying the record value avoids transcription errors.
- Return to SoLoLink and choose Verify Domain.
- After verification succeeds, choose Provision Domain if that action is shown.
DNS updates can take time to propagate. Leave the record in place while it is pending. Repeatedly changing the hostname or record can restart verification.
Troubleshoot verification
- Confirm the host, record type, and value exactly match the SoLoLink screen.
- Remove a conflicting record for the same hostname when your DNS provider does not permit both.
- If your provider supports a proxy mode, temporarily use DNS-only mode while verifying unless the screen says otherwise.
- Wait for DNS propagation, then choose Verify Domain again.
Do not delete the DNS record after the domain starts working. For more help,
